J. Russell Major Prize

The J. Russell Major Prize is an annual prize given to a historian by the American Historical Association.

Background

The prize was established in memory of J. Russell Major, a distinguished historian who died on December 12, 1998, at the age of 77. He served as a professor of history at Emory University.[1]
