The International Institute of Information Technology, Pune, also knowen as I²IT (I Square IT,Pune), is a higher education institute situated at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The institute is affiliated to University of Pune and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi; recognized by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt of Maharashtra (Institute code – 6754); and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune).
History
The decision to set up I2IT was made in 1999 by P. P. Chhabria, industrialist and philanthropist and Vijay P. Bhatkar, scientist, and the first postgraduate (PG) course took place in 2001–2003.
