International Clash Day

International Clash Day is an international holiday that honors and celebrates the legendary punk rock band The Clash. Numerous radio stations in several countries[1] observe the holiday by playing Clash songs and conducting relevant interviews throughout the day.

The holiday began on February 5, 2013, when John Richards, a host and producer at Seattle radio station KEXP played Clash songs throughout the morning.[2] The holiday has since been recognized via official proclamations from numerous cities including Seattle, Vancouver, Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas, as well as the state of Washington.[3]
