Ingrid Sophie Schram is a Canadian actress.[1][2]

Early life

She was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada. As a child, her family relocated to Kelowna, British Columbia where she attended high school at Okanagan Mission Secondary School. She is the daughter of a South African father, a physician, and a Rhodesian mother, a teacher. She has three brothers.

Career

Schram first gathered acting experience in various school productions in elementary and high school as well as her local community theatre, often musicals. At 17, she moved to New York City five days after graduating high school while her parents were getting a divorce.

To afford classes in writing and acting while living in Manhattan, Schram decided to sign with Ford Models in New York City after being scouted that year, and represented Canada in their annual 2005 Ford Models Supermodel of the World Contest in which she was 2nd runner up and awarded a $100,000.00 contract.[3] Camilla Finn from Brazil secured first place in the contest, both having since disassociated from the company. While living in the east village neighborhood of Manhattan, Schram was a member of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and started taking part in various fashion shoots and fashion presentations in the city, as well as short films[4] and videos including with friends at the art school in her neighborhood, Cooper Union. Schram has sat for numerous acclaimed fashion photographers including Arthur Elgort and Irving Penn. She decided to move to Elite Model Management in 2006. In 2010 Schram filmed the international Chanel fragrance commercial Bleu de Chanel[5] on location in Grand Central–42nd Street (New York City Subway) [6] alongside Gaspard Ulliel and Amalie Bruun directed by Martin Scorsese.
