Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani (IIIT Kalyani) is one of the 20 Indian Institutes of Information Technology located at Kalyani, West Bengal. The classes started from first week of July 2014, from the temporary campus located at the campus of JIS College of Engineering.[1] On 19 August 2014, official inauguration of the institute was done by the former mentor director Prof. Ajoy Kumar Ray, the director of IIEST Shibpur. Admission to IIIT Kalyani.[2] is done on the basis of the marks obtained in the JEE Main.

Prof. Partha Pratim Chakrabarti (Director, IIT Kharagpur) is the Mentor-Director for IIIT, Kalyani, Nadia District, West Bengal. Now, The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is the Mentor Institution after the decision taken by Shri Prakash Javadekar on 9 February 2017.
