Impax Asset Management Group plc (LSE: IPX) is a specialist asset manager founded in 1998 investing in solutions to resource scarcity (in energy efficiency, alternative energy, water, waste, food and agriculture[7] and related sectors).
Impax Asset Management has been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development, the UK’s highest business accolade for business success.[8]
Investments
Impax manages approximately £6.7 billion (as at 30 June 2017[9]) for institutional and high-net-worth investors globally, and is committed to providing strong long-term risk-adjusted returns.
The head office is in London with offices in New York City, Oregon and Hong Kong.
The Listed Equity team manages six global and regional investment strategies and manages listed equity funds on behalf of third party distributors including BNP Paribas[10]
The Private Equity team invests in European renewable power generation infrastructure assets in two funds: Impax New Energy Investors is a €125 million fund which closed in August 2006[11] and Impax New Energy Investors II is a €330 million fund which closed in August 2011.[12] The Climate Property Fund focuses on developing sustainable and energy efficient commercial property, primarily in the UK, adding synergistically to Impax's wider real asset investment strategy within private markets [13]
