Imbolo Mbue is a native of Limbe, Cameroon. A resident of the United States for over a decade, she lives in New York City.[1] In 2017, she won the PEN/Faulkner Award for her novel Behold the Dreamers.[2] She is a citizen of the United States since 2014.[3]

Career

Imbolo Mbue holds a B.S. from Rutgers University and an M.A. from Columbia University. In 2014, she signed a million-dollar deal with Random House for Behold the Dreamers,[4] which was published in 2016. In June 2017 the novel was selected by Oprah Winfrey for her book club.[5]
