Illawarra Christian School

Illawarra Christian Education is a Christian Parent Controlled School organisation located in Wollongong. It was founded in 1982. It is composed of a business centre and two schools: Illawarra Christian School in Cordeaux Heights, and Calderwood Christian School in Albion Park. Both schools currently offer Prep to Year 12 education. ICS has about 550 students and CCS has about 270 students currently.

2008

Restructure

The Illawarra Christian School Board has initiated a restructure for the executive of the school for 2008. Instead of one Principal and a Head of each Campus, there will be a Principal and Deputy Principal at each campus, with one of those Principals becoming the "Executive Principal", who will report directlly to the board.
The executive positions are as follows:
Cordeaux:

Deputy Principal: Mrs Rhonda Story
Tongarra:
Principal (also Executive Principal): Mr Greg Batten
Deputy Principal: Mrs Kate Bertram

2017 Restructure

In November 2016 , the Illawarra Christian School Board approved an organisational restructure to be effective as of 1st January 2017. The New South Wales state and Australian federal governments approved applications to rename the parent organisation from Illawarra Christian School to Illawarra Christian Education. The two campuses were registered as separate schools ie The Cordeaux Campus formally became the Illawarra Christian School and the Tongarra Campus was registered as Calderwood Christian School.

Prep

Illawarra Christian School began a Preparatory "Prep" program for pre-school children in 2008.
