Iliana Eve is an American singer-songwriter who was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.[1][2] At 14 years old, Iliana Eve aka Ana got her professional start in the music industry with a single that was released through Snoop Dogg's record label Doggy Style Records called "Letters".[3][4] Celebrity news website TMZ released Iliana's "Kylie's Daddy" and it went viral.[5][6] She was a victim in a home invasion and kidnapping with her father Jonathan Hay in Louisville, Kentucky.[7]
Career
Iliana Eve followed up "Letters" with the single "Long Damn Time" with Kanye West's songwriter Cyhi The Prynce that premiered on The Houston Chronicle.[8][9] She's featured on "Split Paths" with Eminem's artist Kxng Crooked of Slaughterhouse[10] and "Lost Souls" with Nitty Scott and Pulse gay nightclub shooting survivor Patience Carter.[11] "Lost Souls" was released through Billboard on the six month anniversary of the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting. The remix "49 Lives: Lost Souls" was released on the one year anniversary of the massacre.[12] The songs will appear on Iliana's debut album 15 that is slated for release in September of 2017.[13]
Iliana Eve and her sister DJ Hannahbella will be releasing a mixtape "Daddy Issues" in 2017.[14] The teenage sisters received some notoriety for their single "Kylie's Daddy" with 22 Savage for a song about Kylie Jenner.[15][16] Iliana and Hannah will be meeting their biological grandparents for the first time with news reporter Angie Fenton from Oxygen's "Finding My Father" on a TV special.[17] Iliana is featured on "Waiting", a song written about her biological grandmother and the last song recorded by United Nations honorary appointee Marsha Moyo.[18][19] Iliana performed on "Daddy's Little Girl" with Inspectah Deck from Wu Tang Clan.[20]
Iliana Eve recorded "Mommy", a song that takes a stand against child molestation with Jamaican record producer Kemar McGregor.[21][22] The single is partly inspired by Korn's song "Daddy" which addresses similar issues.[23] Iliana stated to Entrepreneur Magazine "Recording Mommy was a painful experience of reliving the nightmares and vocalizing them. The lyric that really hit me is 'the long showers I take that won't wash away the memories'. I'm hoping this song can make a difference, maybe even ease some pain that you are not alone." The song is being released on FM Records, an industry leader in pop-reggae music.[24] At 14, Iliana started her own record label, Drink The Lemonade, to raise awareness about child abuse.[25]
On June 2nd, Iliana was featured on the single "Too Ashamed" by Kxng Crooked that debuted on Billboard Magazine.[26] HipHopDX premiered Iliana's "All Alone" with frequent Lil Yachty collaborator Kevin Pollari who is signed to Rick Rubin.[27] Iliana collaborated with Slaughterhouse's Royce da 5'9" and Kxng Crooked on "Almost Paradise", a remix of the hit song from the Footloose Soundtrack released in 1984.[28][29]
