Igarra

Igarra (also known as Etuno and Etono) is the headquarters of the Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State. The town is made up of the Ugbogbo, Utua, and Uffa quarters. It is composed of rocky terrain, and is surrounded by the Kukuruku Hills.

Igarra residents, known ethnically as Anetuno, speak the Etuno/Etono language, a dialect of Ebira, rather than other languages more commonly used in local government.

Igarra is also one of the ethnic nationalities that make up Afemailand.
