Icha Kavons is an international gospel singer, songwriter from Congo DRC. He has won several awards, such as the 2015 Best Gospel artist and the 2016 Best inspirational song Testimony.
Early life
Kavons was born in Kinshasa, DRC, on September 27, 1988. He came to Canada early 2000 and subsequently lived in Toronto, Ontario. Kavons joined a children choir at age 8 and a church choir at age 13. His father's name is Danny mundundu and mother Sophie Benaluabo . He also has a little brother named Noe mundundu also known as Nj aged 16 as well as 2 little sisters.
Music career
In 2013 Icha released his first ever music project titled "Second Chance" produced by William Chebeya. In May 2014 he was nominated for Best Gospel artist of the year at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), but did not win the award. In 2015 he was again nominated for the same award, and won. In November 2016 his song Testimony won the best inspiration song.[1][2][3] In 2016 his song "Testimony" was nominated for best inspirational song in Lagos, Nigeria.[4][5] He won the AFRIMMA 2016 Best Inspiration Song in Lagos, Nigeria.[6][7][8][9][10]
