Ian Orum (birth registered July→September 1955 (age 61–62)[1]) birth registered in Buckrose, is a professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s, and 1980s, playing at club level for Castleford, as a fullback, Wing, Stand-off/Five-eighth, or scrum-half/halfback, i.e. number 1, 2 or 5, 6, or 7.[2][3]

Ian Orum played as an interchange/substitute, i.e. number 14, (replacing Centre Gary Hyde) in Castleford's 2-13 defeat by Hull F.C. in the 1983 Yorkshire County Cup Final during the 1983–84 season at Elland Road, Leeds, on Saturday 15 October 1983.
