I Feel Good is the third studio album of Filipino actor and singer Daniel Padilla under Star Records, released on June 13, 2015 in the Philippines.[1] This album consist of thirteen songs, James Brown’s I Got You (I Feel Good) is the first single of the same title of the album, as well as Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You),” Andy Williams’ “Moon River.” Also included on the track list of the album are Daniel’s swoon-worthy versions “Knocks Me Off My Feet,” “For Once in My Life,” “Morning Girl,” and “Handog.” This album also features his own version of "Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal". “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” the theme song of his teleserye with Kathryn Bernardo, as well as the chart-topper “Simpleng Tulad Mo.”

Background and development

Star Music on Wednesday June 3, 2015 revealed the cover of this album.[2] I Feel Good premiere worldwide on international music streaming service Spotify on June 7, 2015.[3][4]

Music video

The music video shoot on July 5, 2015.[5] Released on September 11, 2015 and premieres on MYX on the same date.[6] The music video debut at No.2 on MYX Pinoy Countdown and No. 5 at the MYX Hit Chart, and the next week peaked at No. 2 on both chart.[7][8]“I Got You (I Feel Good)” music video rank #19 on Pinoy MYX Countdown 2015 Yearender[9]

Promotion and reception

Padilla promoted the album during the “Most Wanted” concert. He were performed some of the tracks from the album live, including Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You),” Andy Williams’ “Moon River,” and James Brown’s “I Got You (I Feel Good).”.[10] Padilla kicked off “I Feel Good” album tour at Starmall Alabang on August 2, 2015.[11][12] He sang Grow Old With You & Hinahanap Hanap.[13] The tour continued to Bren Z Guiao Convention Center, City of San Fernando on August 22, 2015.[14]

I Feel Good album eventually reached Gold status in less than a week. Padilla receives his gold record award for “I Feel Good” with Star Music head Roxy Liquigan and the album producers at ASAP 20 on June 28, 2015.[15] This album peaked at number one in Odyssey Music & Video’s nationwide sales reports from July 27 to August 2, 2015.[16][17] And still number one for the week of September 7–13, 2015[18]

The album earned nomination at 2016 PMPC Star Awards for Music for Pop Album of the Year and Cover Design of the Year.[19][20] The title track, "I Got You (I Feel Good)" earned nomination at the 2016 Myx Music Awards for Favorite Remake, while Padilla nominated for Male Pop Artist of the Year.[21]
