Hyun Joo-yup (Hangul: 현주엽; Hanja: 玄周燁; born 27 July 1975) is a South Korean retired professional basketball player. He was part of the South Korea national basketball team that played at the 1994 Asian Games, 1996 Summer Olympics, 1998 Asian Games and 2002 Asian Games.[1] During the 1997 FIBA Asia All-star game he became famous after he shattered a backboard.[2].
