Hwang Ui-jo (Hangul: 황의조; Korean pronunciation: [hwaŋ.i.dʑo] or [hwaŋ] [ɰi.dʑo]; born 28 August 1992) is a South Korean footballer who plays as striker for Gamba Osaka in the J League and the South Korea national football team. [1]

Career

He was selected by Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in 2013 K League Draft. He made his debut goal against Suwon Samsung Bluewings on 3 March 2013.[2]

He was expected to leave Seongnam FC when they relegated to K League Challenge in 2017 because he is regarded as one of most prospective Korean strikers in the league, but he agreed to stay with Seongnam FC after Park Kyung-hoon persuaded him to stay.[3]
