Huramzai is a town located in the Pishin District of Balochistan province, Pakistan.[1] It is located at 30°43'32N 66°50'24E at an altitude of 1471 meters.

It is the largest populated region in the Pishin District, and is well known for its orchards and vineyards. Agriculture is the livelihood of most of the population. Huramzai is replete with many gardens of different fruits including grapes, apples, apricots, pomegranates, watermelons, and a variety of vegetables. It has a bazaar which can supply items of everyday needs. Huramzai has electricity, gas stations, and telephone and mobile phone services. There are currently three doctors serving in Huramzai: Dr. Syed Abdul Ahad, Dr. Syed Nida Mohammad, and Dr. Syed Zaman Agha; residents of Huramzai serve the entire province in many different fields. Syed Hassan Zaheer Agha currently serving as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Balochistan Police.

People

Almost 95% of population are "Syed" in tribe; descendants of Imam Zain-ul-Abdin and siblings of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. They are well respected across the region for their sacred affiliation. The people of Tehsil Huramzai are performing their part in different walks of life etc. Judiciary, Education, sports, Bureaucracy, Pakistan Army, Police, National Politics, Macro & Micro Economics of the country and other fields.

The Chief of Syed tribe is Syed Badr-ud-Din Shah, who belongs to killi Shingharee Syedan and he is a well known landlord of the area. His best role is as an arbitrator if any difference arises between the tribals. Some other well-known personalities of tehsil Huramzai are as :

Sports

Football is the most popular game of Huramzai and Sarbaz Club Huramzai is currently one of the strongest teams of Killi Huramzai Syedan. The local Dawn Cricket Club has won a record number of tournaments; it is one of the finest in the area. Local resident & Dawn Cricket Club captain, Syed Samiullah Agha has been the chairman of the Alaqai Cricket Committee for two years; Syed Faiz Ullah Agha & Syed Wali Jan Agha remained Chairman of their respective football committees. There is a high interest level in sports.

The last election in 2008 was won by Moulana Syed Abdul Bari Agha (JUI-F), who has done well for the region and its people and has served them for a number of years. Some of his accomplishments in office include many health and infrastructure projects, along with his assistance with the electricity station.

Hajizai Syedan

Killi Hajizai, the home of Tour Amak Neeka—is a beautiful village of Theseel Huramzai and part of Union Council Gangalzai, sitting near Huramzai (west), Hajan Shakarzai in the east and Ganglalzai in the south. The whole village is inhabited by Syed family. Hajizai is surrounded by lush grain and vegetable fields as well fruit orchards; the gardens of apple, peach, cherry, plum, grapes, pomegranates, mulberries and figs, give breath-taking beauty to the village. There are middle schools, both for boys and girls. Both of the schools were inaugurated by the senator at the time, Syed Fazal Agha, in 1985; Girls’ school of Hajizai is ranked among top 5 middle schools in the district pishin. There is also a Madrassa and BHU (Basic Health Unit) facilitating the masses. The former president of Afghanistan Noor Mohammad Tarakai had great affiliation with Hajizai and lived and spent his childhood in the village, his sister named Tarake Anna was married to the Malak of Hajizai named Agha Lala (Syed Abdul Sattar Agha). The prominent people of Hajizai include Syed Fazal Agha(EX-Governor), Syed Abdul Hai Agha(Chief Engineer WAPDA), Malak Meherban Agha, Syed Abdul Rab Agha(XEN), Syed Mohammad Ali Agha(XEN), Dr. Mohammad Ashraf (Senior Surgeon), Syed Saleem Shah (FBR), Syed Naeem Shah (FBR), Syed Faisal Shah(DCO, Dera Bugti), Syed Munir Agha(Additional District and Session Judge), and Syed Khalil Agha(Political Activist). The main political Party units in Hajizai comprise: JUI, PTI, PKMAP and ANP (having many die-hard supporters). Young people are real sports lovers; United Football club, Abbasin Football Club, Zameendar Football club, Khan Cricket club and Shah XI—are main sports teams. To the north of Hajizai, there is an aesthetic mountainous picnic resort with a beautiful small dam (filled with water in spring season). The people living across the area, make frequent visits to enjoy their leisure time especially in the month of March and April.

Gangalzai Gangalzai is union council of tehsil Huramzai which is a well-known historical village in the time of British Empire in subcontinent for its demography and agriculture. It has been a prominent quarter for the business since past, even its roots were linked with Qandahar Afghanistan. Most of residents in Gangalzai are Syed and 5% Achakzai tribes and 1% Tareen tribes do exist. In Gangalzai there is a social harmony among the tribes which has proved to be an impregnable unity of Gangalzai people. Gangalzai is famous for being the home of Sahib Kako Ziarat, who was a prominent religious figure. People resort Sahib Kako Ziarat from remote areas to seek spiritual peace.

Syed Haji Shafi Agha is the leading figure who has been serving as for a long tenure but he has become retired of his former position i.e. senator good buisnessman and a famous transporter now his son Agha Nawab Sha special assistant to CM Balochistan' Other leading personalities are well known achakzai faimily also known for Dr family serwing there from last 80 years from the time of hakeem baz mohammad who has done tib from kalkata india in the time of sub continent.now his son Dr mohammad zahir serving his services from last 48 years. meanwhile professor Dr abdul kabir achakzai chairmain of botany dept. dr amir khan achakzai dr hafeezullah khan drug inspector. kaleem ullah khan director of igs. abul habib manager of pacific pharma.SP NAB dept Saboor agha DDO Abdul Ghafoor lecturer Mohammad anbiya lecturer physic subj. master Mohammad Naeem retired.Bashir agha assistant director gem dept' late Faryadi mohammad rasool and his family DSP Abdullah. Teacher Syed Abdul Hameed Agha who has been serving as a teacher in the Sandeman High School Quetta. Haji Taj Muhammad Agha, Haji Shamsullah, Haji Razaq is well known businessmen.
