Hunde people
The Hunde people are a Bantu people primarily inhabiting the Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Some Hunde also live in Rwanda and southwestern Uganda. They number approximately 200,000 and speak the Hunde language.[1]
The Hunde have been in conflict with the Banyarwanda of Rwanda at times since its independence, in particular with the Hutu. They allied with the Tutsi during the conflicts of the 1990s.[2]
