Huang Qing Yuan (黃清元) is a famous Singapore singer who started singing in the 1960s. His famous song is Man Li. He started singing at an age of 7 when he joined a Children Singing Competition where he got the First Place and remembered the price well because it was two cans of drink. He then recorded 100 over EPs and LPs which is still available in Singapore, Malaysia , Indonesia and more
At the 2015 Getai Awards he received a Contribution award in honour of his 40 years of getai performance.[1]
