Howard Ronald Drake CMG OBE (born 13 August 1956)[1][2] is the current British High Commissioner to Canada.[3] He was appointed in June 2013. In February 2017 it was announced that after his four-year posting he would be succeeded by Susan le Jeune d'Allegeershecque CMG.[4]

Education

Drake was educated at Churcher's College.

Caree r

On 14 March 2014, in the midst of the 2014 Crimean crisis, he wrote an op-ed in The Globe and Mail on why his Government thought the Crimean referendum should be cancelled.[5]

Drake was appointed Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) in the 2017 Birthday Honours.[6]
