House of Hénin

The house of Hénin is an important noble family,[1] an important branch was titled Prince of Chimay.

The surname comes from the town of Hénin(-Beaumont) in France. in the 13th century the family grow in three different branches, the most important one the families of Hénin-Liétard d'Alcase and the branch of the lords of Bossu.[2]
