The House of Elders (Somali: Golaha Guurtida) is the upper house of the northwestern Somaliland autonomous region of Somalia. It has 82 members, representing traditional leaders. The House of Elders is mandated with considering bills proposed by the lower chamber, the Somaliland House of Representatives.
The House of Elders also oversees constitutional matters and plays an oversight role on the national peacekeeping and security.
Suleiman Mahmud Adam is the Speaker of the House of Elders of Somaliland.
