Houghton Regis Academy (formerly Kings Houghton Middle School[1]) is a coeducational secondary school with academy status located in Houghton Regis in the English county of Bedfordshire.[2]
Previously a community middle school administered by Central Bedfordshire Council, Kings Houghton Middle School converted to academy status on 1 of September 2012 and was renamed Houghton Regis Academy. The school is now sponsored by the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust group of Academies.[3]
From September 2013 the school began to change its age range of pupils to become a secondary school. The changes will be fully implemented by September 2017 when the school will have a full age range of pupils aged 11 to 18 (including a sixth form).[4]
