Production
Development on the project was first announced in November 2016, when it was announced Jodie Foster would star in the film with a script to be written and directed by Drew Pearce.[1] Lionsgate acquired the international distribution rights to the film at the 2017 Berlin Film Festival, with WME Global dealing with the North American release.[2] Dave Bautista was added to the cast the next week.[3] In April 2017, Sofia Boutella entered negotiations for a role in the film.[4] In May, Jeff Goldblum. Sterling K. Brown, Jenny Slate, Charlie Day, Zachary Quinto, Brian Tyree Henry and Kenneth Choi were cast, with filming beginning in Los Angeles on May 31.[5][6][7][8]
