Honor is an online marketplace for Home care workers and clients seeking to hire one.[1][2] The company currently provides care in California and Texas.
History
Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Honor was founded on September 19, 2014 by Seth Sternberg (CEO), with Sandy Jen, Cameron Ring, and Monica Lo, in an effort to "modernize in-home care for seniors." [1] The company raised $20 million in an initial founding round led by Andreessen Horowitz,[2] and another $42 million in 2016, led by Thrive Capital.[3] In January 2016, Honor announced that it would convert all of its contract caregivers to Form W-2 employees.[4]
