Hongqiao Railway Station Station (simplified Chinese: 虹桥火车站站; traditional Chinese: 虹橋火車站站; pinyin: Hóngqiáo Huǒchēzhàn Zhàn) is an interchange station between Line 2 and Line 10 of the Shanghai Metro, and is close to the railway station of the same name. The station entered operation on 1 July 2010,[1] nearly four months after the opening of the line's Hongqiao extension. The Line 10 section of the station commenced operation on 30 November of the same year.
From the 2010–2020 metro construction plan, 3 new metro lines are planned to start from this station; they are Line 17 via Baoshan Industry Park to Gongqing Forest Park, Line 20, to Qingpu and Line 5 to Xinzhuang.
