Home Chef is a Chicago, Illinois-based weekly meal kit company that delivers pre-portioned ingredients and recipes to subscribers weekly in the United States.[1] Founder and CEO, Pat Vihtelic started Home Chef in June 2013.[2] As of February 2017, the company delivers over 2.5 million meals monthly.[3]
Overview
Home Chef is a meal delivery service that provides a ready-to-cook box of pre-portioned fresh ingredients directly to consumer households. With distribution centers in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago and Lithonia, Georgia, Home Chef is able to deliver its meals to all of the lower 48 states.[4]
Fare
Each meal kit comes with recyclable packaging, pre-portioned ingredients and instructions for meals that can be prepared within 30 to 45 minutes. The rotating menu includes up to 13 meals for dinner. The company also offers a weekly breakfast, smoothie and fruit basket option.[5]
