The Holden Captiva is a crossover SUV produced since 2006 by GM Korea, previously known as Daewoo. Sold under the Holden name for the Australian and New Zealand markets, the Holden Captiva range originally compromised of two similar vehicles, the Captiva 5 (known overseas as Opel Antara) and the Captiva 7 (known elsewhere as the Chevrolet Captiva). These cars were sold alongside each other from 2006 to 2016, when the Captiva 5 was discontinued and the Captiva 7 was facelifted and renamed 'Captiva', now available in 5 and 7 seater guises.

Successor

In 2017, Holden announced that by 2018, the Captiva will be discontinued in Australia and New Zealand[1]. It will replaced with the third-generation Chevrolet Equinox[1], replacing the five-seat Captiva. The Equinox will be available from November 2017.

Meanwhile, the second-generation GMC Acadia will come to Australia by early 2018[2], taking place of the seven-seat Captiva, and bringing an end to the Captiva nameplate.

It is believed there are no plans for a next generation Captiva, as it is being replaced with the two models listed above.
