Hjørring Stadium (Danish: Hjørring Stadion) is a multi-purpose stadium in Hjørring, Denmark. It is known as Bredbånd Nord Arena for sponsorship reasons. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Hjørring and Fortuna Hjørring. The stadium holds 7500 people. The attendance record was set in 1973 in a match in 3. division between Hjørring IF and Frederikshavn fi.
New Stadium
In September 2011 it was decided to Hjørring should have a new stadium, linked to the Park Vendia which should be completed in 2013 [1]
. The plan has, however, changed when Hjørring came into trouble in terms of the economy to the construction of the new stadium.[2]
Renovate
On May 29, 2013 decided Hjørring City Council to renovate the old stadium.[3] The renovation includes a new and lasting grandstand where there an extension of this will come two sports centers. The new grand stand with sponsor lounge will accommodate more than 500 seats under roof.
Opposite the main grandstand established a stand with approximately 1500 seats. In order to optimize the intimacy and match experience moved band advertisements in both ends closer to the pitch
There will also be new lighting system of 1000 lux. The renovation will be completed in summer 2015.[4][5]
