Hidden Agenda is an upcoming crime thriller video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for release on the PlayStation 4 in October 2017.[1]

Gameplay

Hidden Agenda is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective.[2] The player takes control of homicide detective Becky Marnie and district attorney Felicity Graves, both of whom are involved in the case of a serial killer known as The Trapper.[3] The game features quick time events that determine the outcome of the story, including a character's death or survival. With the PlayLink feature, others may join the game to vote for a specific decision to be made, using their Android or iOS smartphones. One player will at some point receive a secret objective, or Hidden Agenda, which is intended to create conflict between the players as they try to prevent it from happening.[2][4][5]

Development

Supermassive Games serves as the game's developer,[6] and uses Unreal Engine 4 to develop it.[7]

Release

Hidden Agenda was announced at E3 2017,[5] along with a launch trailer promoting support for the PlayLink feature.[4] It will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in 2017.[2]

Awards

Following E3 2017, Hidden Agenda received one of GamesRadar's Best of E3 awards[8] and Game Critics Awards' Best Family/Social Game award; it was also nominated for Game Critics Awards' Best Mobile/Handheld award.[9][10]
