Hero Bhakti Hi Shakti Hai (English: Devotion is Strength) is an Indian action-drama show, which aired on Hungama TV 30 May 2005.[1] It is about the heroic deeds and adventures of an ordinary boy Joy, who is bestowed with out-of-this-world magical powers by the Goddess Durga to help him fight the arch-villain Viraat. His two beloved toys Dholu and Bubbli also transform into hilarious characters. Created by Arif Ali of UTV and directed by Waseem Sabir and Imtiaz Alam the series stars Sumeet Pathak. The show is being repeated on Hungama TV Currently (22 July 2014).

Channel's growth In 2005

Latest Tam reports (29 May – 4 June) have it that Hero touched a TVR of 1.31 on 31 May. The TVR catapulted the channel to a staggering 166 per cent growth in the 7.30 - 8 pm time band. Further, the show has emerged as a favorite among 10-14 SEC ABCs recording a TVR of 1.41 on 2 June and an average of 1.11 for the launch week, which resulted to a hike of 173 per cent for Hungama TV in the 7.30 - 8 pm time band for Monday – Thursday, overtaking both Cartoon Network (0.63) and Pogo (0.89) in the respective time band.

Farida Jalal In Hero

MUMBAI: Farida Jalal had made a special appearance in Hungama TV's show Hero as Bebe. She acted in six episodes, the first of which was telecast on 18 July 2005 at 7:30 pm. Incidentally, Jalal was acting as 'jaadui nani' in the UTV-produced serial Shararat, which aired on Star Plus. Commenting on her experience with Hungama TV’s Hero, Jalal says, "UTV is like home ground for me. I enjoy working with youngsters they give me energy, especially with the cast of Hero, Sumit who plays Hero and Joy in the serial, is an extremely talented actor. The serial is what kids love and what is important is good triumphs over evil."

Gaurav Gera in Hero

Gaurav Gera popularly known as Nandu of Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi fame will be making a special appearance on Hungama TV's Hero. Gera's guest appearance was done from 11–18 August at 7.30 pm where he appeared as virat the super villain
