Hereditary politicians

Hereditary politician refers to politicians(specially modern politicians) that seen to be conferred by or based on inheritance in some sense. Not to be confused with hereditary peer or hereditary monarchy.

Japan

"Botchan, or well-born “brats”, are prevalent in Japanese politics. More than two-fifths of LDP legislators are occupying safe seats in the Diet, Japan’s parliament, that were once held by fathers, grandfathers, uncles or in-laws."[1]

112 LDP Lower House members, or 37.8 percent of the chamber, have or had direct blood kin in politics.[2]

Philippines

Benigno Aquino III who became the president in 2010. His father Benigno Aquino, Jr., was Senator. And his mother Corazon Aquino, was 11th President of the Philippines. In addition, Benigno Aquino, Sr., his grandfather was also active as a politician.

Rodrigo Duterte who became the president in 2016. his daughter Sara Duterte succeed him as Mayor of Davao City on 2016, He was mayor from 1988-1998, 2001-2010 and again on 2013-2016. she herself served as his vice mayor from 2007–10 and was mayor from 2010-13 and again since 2016. dutertes own son Paolo Duterte is the Vice mayor since 2013.

France

President of the National Front Jean-Marie Le Pen and Councillor Marine Le Pen who is daughter of the former, followed by Marion Maréchal-Le Pen, Jean-Marie Le Pen's granddaughter. By the way, Le Pen parent and child has served as the leader of the same party over two generations.
