Bryan Woods (born September 14, 1984) is an American film director and screenwriter from Davenport, Iowa. He co-writes and co-directs with filmmaking partner Scott Beck. In 2001, Beck & Woods formed Bluebox Films. Together they have written and directed Spread, a scripted pilot for MTV,[1] and Nightlight, a supernatural thriller for Lionsgate and Herrick Entertainment.[2]
Beck & Woods sold their original screenplay for A Quiet Place to Paramount Pictures, which they will executive produce alongside Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes. The film will star Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, who will direct.[3] Paramount subsequently signed Beck & Woods to a blind script deal for a second project they will write and direct. The duo is also attached to direct the thriller Haunt, produced by Eli Roth and Sierra/Affinity.[4] In the television world, Beck & Woods developed the series Zeroes for Sony Pictures Television and Davis Entertainment, based on the novel by New York Times best-selling author Scott Westerfeld, Margo Lanagan, and Deborah Biancotti.
