Kurt Henrik Mikael Borgström (born 6 August 1997) is an Finnish ice hockey player, currently playing for the University of Denver in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). Borgström was selected 23rd overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers.[1]
Playing career
Borgström played in his native Finland within the junior program of the HIFK organization. Ranked as a potential 3rd round pick, Borgström ended up being selected 23rd overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers, his second eligible NHL draft. He has committed to play for the University of Denver for the 2016–17 season.[2]
Personal
Borgström since childhood is a supporter of Swedish ice hockey and football team Djurgårdens IF. He attends both football and ice hockey games as often as he can. He dreams to one day play for the ice hockey team Djurgårdens IF Hockey.
