Heathen

Heathen (plural heathens, collectively heathenry, adjective heathen) refers to someone who does not follow one of the major (usually Abrahamic) religions, and who may or may not specify any other religious affiliation. It has historically generally been used as a pejorative, and by extension may mean "uncultured" or "uncivilized".[1][2]
More specific meanings include:
- Someone who does not follow one of the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam, and Judaism).
- Someone who follows one of the Pre-Christian religions of Europe, or one derived off of them. See: Paganism and Neopaganism.
- Someone who does not follow any of the world's major organized religions.
- An adherent of Heathenry (new religious movement) (also known as Heathenism or Germanic neopaganism) in particular; often capitalized in this context.
