hearty (written in lower case) is a Canadian online magazine that focuses on emerging culture, fashion, music, and art. Previous features include Florence and the Machine, Rye Rye, YACHT, photographer Tim Barber, Nina Sky, Flying Lotus, Vivian Girls, producer 88-Keys, Emily Haines, and Ray Mate.[1]
In 2010, hearty collaborated with designer Jeff Staple on a sticker[2] and singer Mayer Hawthorne on a mixtape.[3]
hearty was founded in 2008 by functioning editor-in-chief, Hana May.[4] The magazine is staffed entirely by women[5] located in New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Montreal. Content is profiled in daily news, features, personal blog posts, photos, and videos.
