"Hayastan Jan" (Armenian: Հայաստան ջան), is a 2017 song by Armenian singer Iveta Mukuchyan. It was released on June 26, 2017 as a single.
Background
On June 21, 2017 Mukuchyan wrote on her Facebook page that the song will be first heard on June 26 and is called "Hayastan Jan".[1]
Music video
The video, directed by Artur Manukyan, music by Iveta Mukuchyan, was captured in one of the villages of Armenia.[2] The video begins with Iveta entering the village on a truck. It is also heard Iveta's single LoveWave in that truck. There are also scenes of dances of Armenian soldiers, people playing Armenian national music and some ceremonies. Armenian folk elements are used in the video, including duduk.
Song Meaning
Hayastan Jan: Hayastan ( Armenian: Հայաստան) means Armenia, and Jan (Armenian: ջան) means dear. The j in Jan has a heavy sound. In Hayastan Jan the village in the music video represents the Armenian people that live and work happy.
