Harry Styles: Live on Tour[1] is the debut concert tour by British singer Harry Styles in support of his eponymous album (2017). The tour is scheduled to begin September 2017, in San Francisco and will play 29 concerts in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.[2]

Background

In June 2016, it was confirmed that Styles had signed a solo recording contract.[3] Later in April 2017, Styles released debut solo single, "Sign of the Times",[4] and eponymous album on 12 May 2017.[5]

The tour was officially announced on 28 April 2017 via Styles' Twitter account and website. Tickets for the shows went on sale on 5 May 2017.[6] In North America, pre-sale tickets were available via Ticketmaster's "Verified Fan" platform. This measure helps prevent scalping. Similar measures have been taken by promoters in the United Kingdom and Oceania. Purchased tickets will display the name of the purchaser and adjoining photo I.D. is needed for admittance into the event.[7] Although promoters felt Styles could play larger venues, the singers elects the intimate shows to allow fans the full effect of the album.[8]

Tickets for the announced shows were reportedly in high demand with many venues selling out within seconds.[8] Styles posted on his Twitter account that he was overwhelmed with the success of the tour. He also stated he is interested in expanding the tour into 2018.[9]
