Haley Tanner is a Canadian novelist.[1] She is the author of Vaclav & Lena, published by Random House.[2][3] It is about two young people, one with a terrible secret, who are growing up in Brooklyn's Russian immigrant community.[4][5][6] The National Book Foundation named Tanner as a "5 Under 35 Author."[7] Tanner holds an MFA in creative writing from The New School.[8]
Personal Life
Tanner and her partner, folk rock/alternative country musician, Josh Ritter, had their first child, a daughter named Beatrix Wendylove Ritter on November 11, 2012. They own a home together in Woodstock, New York.[9]
