Al Habtoor City
Al Habtoor City (Arabic: الحبتور سيتي) (former name ‘Habtoor Palace complex’) is a multi-use development in Dubai. Consisting of three hotels (The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City, and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City) and three high-rise residential towers commissioned by the Al Habtoor Group in 2012.[1][2] Part of the Hotel Collection, The St. Regis Dubai opened in December, 2015 and was the first hotel to open in the development. The W Dubai – Al Habtoor City made its debut in June 2016 and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City welcomed its first guests in August 2016. Al Habtoor City stands on the site of one of Dubai’s oldest hotels, the Metropolitan on Sheikh Zayed Road. [3]
Al Habtoor City consists of three hotels operated by Marriott International: The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City.[4] The residential towers are planned to be completed in 2017 and will include two 74-story residential buildings and a third 52-story tower with more than 1,000 apartment units, alongside 12 penthouses.[5] Within the Leisure Collection, Al Habtoor City will also feature a 1300-seat permanent water-themed show by Franco Dragone called La Perle, a tennis academy and clubhouse, one of which is air-conditioned,[6] and a car park with a capacity of 5000 cars.[7][8] The Atrium, a new dining destination at Al Habtoor City, has four operational outlets: The Rose & Crown, a traditional British Pub (opened August 2016) , ZOCO, Mexican-Latin American lounge (opened September 2016), Blind Dragon, an Asian cocktail lounge with private karaoke suites (opened October 2016), and The City Grill, a South African steakhouse.[9]
