The sequences were shot in a village of West Bengal.[3] The song was well received by the public as well as by critics and reviewers. Basically a love song, "Haath Dhoreche Gaacher Paata" involved the use of chiefly Indian instruments. Both Shreya Ghoshal's voice as well as Srijato's lyrics were well appreciated.[4] A video of the making of the song was also released later by Sangeet Bangla. Director Raj Chakraborty stated that the entire song was shot in a situation when the atmospheric temperature was about 35° Celsius, resulting in quite a hardship for the entire cast and crew.[5] For this song, Shreya Ghoshal was nominated for Best Female Vocalist of The Year 2013 by Mirchi Music Awards Bangla.
