Gustavo "El Loco" Quintero (December 23, 1939 – December 18, 2016) was a Colombian singer-songwriter. He is considered one of the great representatives of the Colombian tropical music ("Musica Tropical"). He was a singer with "The Teen Agers", then the lead singer of "Los Hispanos" Later he left Los Hispanos (Codiscos) to form "Los Graduados".

A famous dance song of the band Los Graduados, sung by Gustavo "El Loco" Quintero is "Asi Empezaron Papa Y Mama". He was called "LOKO" for his stage antics, he was the first showman of Colombian tropical music.

One of the most imitated artists in both their style and their music, many musical groups have dedicated themselves to recycle his music at year's end (Christmas season), but Gustavo "El Loko" Quintero and "Los Graduados" are a well liked original and still as present as ever.

He died at the Las Americas Clinic in Medellin, Colombia on December 18, 2016, aged 76.[1]
