Gul Hameed Bhatti

Gul Hameed Bhatti (1947 – February 4, 2010) was a Pakistani journalist, editor and sports writer. Known as Pakistan's "Encyclopaedia of Cricket", Bhatti wrote for The Cricketer Magazine.

After training as a pilot, Bhatti turned to journalism, joining The Cricketer. He joined forces with Abid Ali Kazi and Nauman Badr and launched the Cricket Statistians Association. In 1990 Bhatti joined The News as a sports editor.

Bhatti suffered with ill health after the death of his wife in 1996. After a battle with throat cancer, he suffered a brain stroke. He died on February 4, 2010 after a second stroke.[1]
