History

The Gris Gris first signed with Birdman Records in 2003 after a friends of theirs, a member of the band The Cuts, sent a copy of the Gris Gris' demo to them. Birdman then published Ashley's solo album, Medicine Fuck Dream, in 2003 and Gris Gris' debut self-titled album the following year.[1][2]

The band released three albums together to reasonably positive reviews.[3][4][5]

Lead-singer Ashley also released three solo albums, Medicine Fuck Dream, Painted Garden, and Requiem Mass and Other Experiments.[2]
