Grand View Christian School is a private school located near Des Moines, Iowa. Enrollment for the school is about 350 K-12. The high school has about 117 students.
Founding
The school began following the closure of Grandview Park Baptist School, affiliated with Grandview Park Baptist Church, in the spring of 2014. Due to the school's separation from the affiliated Baptist church & declining enrollment over it's final years, this lead to the church choosing to close Grandview Park Baptist School's doors. In response, a group of parents and faculty from the old school established an independent, unaffiliated school known as Grand View Christian School.[1]
The group purchased Norwoodville Elementary School, formerly an elementary public school in the Saydel School District, located in Norwoodville, an unincorporated community just north of Des Moines.[2]
