Grand Jamia Mosque, Karachi also known as Bahria Town Jamia Masjid Complex is an under-construction cultural complex. When completed, the complex will include the world's third largest mosque, an The complex is under-construction on hilltop 60 ft (18 m) in Bahria Town, Karachi, Pakistan.[1]
The design is a blend of Mughal, Persian chinese and Turkish architecture.[2] An area of 50 acres at the top of a 60 feet high hill has been selected so that the mosque will be visible from miles away. The design include's a single-monument minaret towering at 325 ft (99 m).[3][4] Further the mosque will be shielded from storms at that height. The complex will be powered by a dedicated thermal power station and will be surrounded by large gardens surrounded by arch-shaped walls on all four sides.[5][6]
