Govt First Grade College Ankola

Govt first Grade college was established on the 29th May 2007 at Ankola. This college has currently been shifted to Poojageri with suitable environment for students. The college one of the prestigious institutions in Uttara Kannada District. The present principal is S.V. Nayak. The college offer B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.B.A and M.A in economics courses. GFGC Ankola comes under in Kud Department. More than 600 students are study in this college. GFGC Ankola is now for its conduct and success in results.

History

Govt First Grade College Ankola was established on 29 May 2007 near satyagraha smraka bhavan at the centre of Ankola. It is started with new principal prof. Vidya D.Nayak who is HOD of Economics department. After few years GFGC is shifted to poojageri which is hopefully help to students.

• National Service Scheme (NSS)

NSS is the Extra-Ordinary program in this college. NSS is managed by Dr. Geeta Nayak who is HOD of Commerce Department. NSS was started with an aim of creating awareness among the student community. Blood donation camp, first aid awareness program, guest lectures on health, cleanliness are conducted periodically. Every year NSS camp is organized by the college in some rural areas for creating awareness among people.
