Government Science College (Bengali: সরকারী বিজ্ঞান কলেজ) is a public educational institution (equivalent to higher secondary in the US) located at Tejgaon in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is one of the two public colleges in Dhaka. It was formerly named Government Intermediate Technical College. This was the only college of Dhaka where science, technology, and engineering drawing could be studied throughout the high school level for the beginners with high ambition to become an engineer, technologist, scientist, or doctor.
History
This historical college started from 1934 in the name of Technical High School. Later in 1962 this school changed its name as "Intermediate Technical college". In 1985, the college started the Bachelor of Science course and changed its name as Government Science College. At the beginning, the college had only science department, but from 2009 it has introduced commerce study. After continuing 4 years with commerce, since 2013, administration decided to go with only science, so now it is completely a science college.
Admission
The college maintains to recruit students who has academic excellence This college is under Online Admission system. Students have to apply in online. Only selected students can be admitted here. There are 1200 seats for each year. Have to pay admission fee in bank. Students have to get GPA 5.00 for application of admission.

Dress
Students must adhere to the following dress code to attend college.
Shirt: half sleeve (for summer) and full sleeve (for winter) light blue with college monogram.
Pants: off white full pants.
Sweater: blue sweater.
Shoes: black color oxford shoes.

Rules and regulation
- Must be present in the class within 9 am with college dress.
- 90% presence in mandatory.
- ID card must be carried. Without ID card, no student will be allowed to get in.
- Students must contain high moral attitude.
- Political work is highly restricted in the college.
- This college is free from any smoking.

Govt. Science College is one of the few colleges that offers engineering drawing subject for students to study in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC). In general, the college does not allow students to study HSC study without taking mathematics unless student wants to study opting out several career prospects in future that require mathematics.
