Thomas Pablo Croquet (born 21 November 1976), known as Thomas Mars, is a French musician and the lead singer of the French alternative rock band Phoenix.
History
Mars was born in Versailles, France in 1976. In the early 1990s, Mars and his schoolfriends Chris Mazzalai and Deck d'Arcy formed the band Phoenix. Mazzalai's older brother, Laurent Brancowitz, also joined the band after the break-up of Darlin'. The band has released six albums and won a Grammy Award in 2009.[1]
Personal life
In 2011, Mars married Sofia Coppola at Palazzo Margherita (Bernalda). They have two daughters together, Romy and Cosima.[2] The German critic Hellmuth Karasek was his uncle.
