Goran Karačić (born 18 August 1996) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Turkish club Adanaspor and the Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 national team.
Club career
Karačić began his football career at Zrinjski Mostar.[1]
On 21 July 2016, Karačić signed a four-year contract with the Turkish club Adanaspor.[2] On 27 August 2016 Karačić made his debut for Adanaspor against Kasımpaşa. Match ended in a 1–1 draw.[3]
International career
Karačić is currently a member of Bosnia and Herzegovina under-21 national team. He has represented all of the youth categories throughout the years.
On 18 May 2016, Karačić was called-up to Bosnia and Herzegovina national team to take part in Kirin Cup 2016.[4] Unfortunately he had to leave the camp due to an injury suffered in a training session, just before the departure to Japan. Bosnia and Herzegovina later went on to win the tournament, after knocking out Denmark in the semi-finals and winning against the host Japan in the final, at Suita City Football Stadium in Osaka.[5]
Personal life
Goran is the youngest of the Karačić brothers. His older brothers Ivan and Igor are both professional handball players. Ivan is representing Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Igor is playing for Croatia.[6]
