Ginger is a 1993 studio album by Speedy J. It is the sixth release in Warp's Artificial Intelligence series. It peaked at number 68 on the UK Albums Chart.
"De-Orbit" also appears on the Artificial Intelligence compilation album. In 2014, Fact placed it at number 9 on its list of the "100 greatest IDM tracks".[2]
Critical reception
AllMusic's Joshua Glazer awarded the album 4 stars out of 5, saying, "Every sound is magnificently structured, in perfect pitch and timbre with every other sound, making Ginger a masterpiece of techno music as audio design."[1] Writing for A Guide to Essential Ambient & Downtempo Albums, Mike Watson described Ginger as "among the finest lounge-room techno or 'electronic listening music' releases of the decade."[3]
